The 750 stars of Glensheen’s Jack O’ Lantern Spooktacular need carvers to help them get ready for their big event.

Carvers Needed: October 20 through October 24 at Glensheen, 3300 London Road.

Groups, families, or individuals are welcome to carve pumpkins for the Spooktacular, which takes place October 25 through October 28.

Carvers will receive a free ticket to the Thursday, October 25 event.

Interested? Please email info@glensheen.org for more information.

Glensheen Living Literature is preparing to present “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at the end of October and is looking to fill the role of the deliciously villainous Brom Bones.

The world’s most talented artists (in our slightly-biased opinion) will be at Glensheen this weekend for the 17th Annual Festival of Fine Art and Craft.

Here’s what you need to know:
  • The Festival is two days, Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (both days)
  • The Festival is free
  • We recommend taking the free shuttle from UMD’s maroon lot B. It will run continuously from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Also at Glensheen: activities for the  kids, fantastic food vendors, regular-priced house tours, and 7.7 acres of stunning Lake Superior shoreline
