Wanted: Brom Bones

Glensheen Living Literature is preparing to present “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at the end of October and is looking to fill the role of the deliciously villainous Brom Bones.

Here are the details:

  • We will hold about 6 or 7 rehearsals
  • One or two dress rehearsals at Glensheen on 10/18 and 10/19
  • Three shows on 10/20 10/21, and 10/22 at 7 p.m.
  • Curtain each evening

Actors will be provided a $100 stipend for their efforts

This is a very unique opportunity-you’re performing a classic tale in a historic, national treasure for a very enthusiastic audience.

  1. Conrad, if you’re referring to Claire’s comment as “opportunistic advertising” for the Playhouse you’re a little off base. Claire does not represent the Playhouse. She is merely commenting on an interesting coincidence.

If you’re not referring to Claire’s comment, then I’m off base and don’t know what you’re referring to.

  2. That said, I’d like to point out that the Duluth Playhouse Children’s Theatre is also presenting The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in late October.

  3. I would LOVE to do this. Unfortunately, I’m already taken by other projects. I wish this had been posted sooner.

  4. Conrad, my daughter is in the Playhouse’s production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which is going to be amazing, as the children actors in this town are very talented. As Paul noted, I was merely commenting on the coincidence. If I were advertising something, believe me, you’d know it.

  5. BTW, the Duluth Playhouse’s production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is running Oct. 20-30. The great cast of young actors have been working hard for weeks already, it’s going to be a fabulous production.
