Friends and neighbors of Hartley Park are invited to an open house event to learn more about Hartley Nature Center’s Environmental Stewardship mission in the park including past projects, current efforts, and future goals. This is also an opportunity for community members to interact with HNC supporters and share their ideas and comments on environmental stewardship of Hartley Park. Come to learn more and be heard!

Spreading the word through the hip and well connected PDD community:

Hartley Nature Center is looking to fill three fall environmental education internships in Duluth. Interns in these full-time, stipend positions spend time teaching EE to local school groups, interacting with park users, and continuing the mission of Hartley Nature Center. Visit the HNC website for more information and to submit your resume! hartleynature.org

Volunteer Evening in the Butterfly Garden- Tuesday, July 26, 6-8 pm. All ages invited- kids adult-accompanied. Free event-no experience necessary.

Wildflower Walk in Hartley Park-Thursday, July 28, 6-8 pm, a guided evening wildflower walk through Hartley Park. All ages invited- kids adult-accompanied. $4 members, $6 non-members, kids-free!

Both events meet @ Hartley Nature Center, 3001 Woodland Ave. Duluth

Busy week at Hartley Nature Center:
-Tuesday, June 7 Our first volunteer garden work night in the Butterfly Garden, 6pm.
-Wednesday, June 8 COGGS members lead a trail bike ride, 7pm.
-Thursday, June 9 Yoga night, Back to Basics 4:30 pm & Hatha 1 6 pm.

And there are a few summer day camp spaces left for youth ages 4-15. Register soon!
