This happened two years too late, but I’ll live with it. I have a hard time believing he’ll be as effective at Target Field as he was in the Homer Dome.
I agree, but for 1.5 mil I see him being an effective DH. He did hit 23 homers last year, and 1.5 million is ultra cheap in MLB these days.

I don’t see how another aging former star is going to get the Twins past the first round of the play-offs.

It can’t hurt to pick him up. Another guy hitting 20+ dingers for relatively little money seems smart. However, I’d be all for the Twins’ owners shooting their wad on a better starting rotation. We’ll never get anywhere without good arms.
