Perfect Duluth Day is nine years old today – Friday, June 29, 2012. We’ll be celebrating tonight at Tycoons Alehouse and Eatery (in the board room upstairs) starting at 8 p.m. There will be cake and an array of door prizes. Come on out and share in the merriment.

What started as a fun little experiment for Barrett Chase and Scott “Starfire” Lunt in 2003 has grown into a hideous beast containing well over 10,000 posts about everything from wood ticks to roller derby. Thanks for all the support, whether you are a PDD user, lurker or just someone searching Google for karaoke photos.

  1. In the spirit of these photos, tonight at Tycoons my laptop will be playing a slideshow of every photo that’s ever been on PDD. I don’t know if it will get through all of them, but it’ll be fun to glance at during awkward pauses in nerdy conversation.

  2. HBd to PDD, a wonderful community asset. And Barrett, you could do a PDD slideshow with live bands at Teatro. Maybe for the 10th?

  3. Congratulations and thank you for all you do! PDD adds so much enjoyment to living here in Duluth.

I’d get more mushy, but then I’d just start crying like a little girl.

  4. Thanks and happy birthday to all involved in PDD. It enriched my life in Duluth when I lived there, and now keeps me in touch with the place I call home since I’ve moved away.

  5. Tim, most of the images are super low-res, since they were posted in the days of 800×600 CRT monitors. I doubt they’d look very good on a big screen.

  6. Fun party. Surrounded by PDD’ers I feel much less nerdy than I am in real life (although still very awkward, naturally). We had to duck out so this little gosling could grab a snack. Here’s a snapshot of Mrs. Goose using our newly minted PDD tee shirt for a nursing cover. The benefits to this website never end.
