Is PDD kind of slipping the border between blog entry and calendar entry lately, maybe?
Not that I don’t love this idea (and I hope that they show John Berger’s Ways of Seeing next)… just trying to measure acceptable post varieties on my own end.
We slip a lot, Rhetoric Guy. It’s part of our policy to eat a delicious dinner and worry about borders between blog entries and calendar entries later.
I’d say if you have to wonder about whether your post is acceptable, it probably isn’t.
I’d had an entry deleted before, Barrett — making work for everyone that I could have avoided — and so was hewing very sharply to a “retrospective events on the blog, forthcoming events on the calendar” distinction.
So, for example, the Harbor City Rollerdames are in a bout at the DECC this weekend — that is always an awesome time. If my Saturday goes like I hope, it will be Hughes, Pineapple Art for their monthly demo (this month on origami suitable for Valentines day), Kill a little time at DPL, then dinner (at the place with the sexist plaid skirts, the place with the sexist bustiers, or a joint in Canal so we can walk to the DECC — haven’t decided yet). End the night with Rollerdames if the wife still has energy. Friday, if I weren’t going to some Madrigal dinner, I’d be at the Prove gallery opening. It’s a great weekend to live in Duluth. You’ll hear about it all Sunday.
At the risk of hijacking this thread one comment further I’ll note that the ideal post to comment on about upcoming events would be the weekly “This Week” post.
I, personally, will be worshiping naked, fay goddesses at the Diorama-rama 5.
