I hit a few trails outside of Duluth this weekend. We saw at least one bird on every trail we walked, and we weren’t going for especially long walks. I’ve heard they are supposed to be down this year, but it sure didn’t seem like it this weekend.
We haven’t been out yet, but just want to say I love your pic … we have two Brittanys anxious to get out!

While the woods and brush are still fairly thick we did see 4 and hear a fifth 15 miles north of Duluth.
The bear harvest is reportedly high in Wisconsin. Dexter McKittrick of Hawkins shot a 711-pound black bear three weeks ago.
Around here, the grizzlies bit two bowhunters in two weeks. Minnesota needs grizzlies.
My husband, Brian, shot one near Two Harbors off the Fox Farm Rd. He needs to take some shooting lessons from you Cory – I couldn’t even eat it… full of birdshot!
