Does anybody out there own (or know somebody with) a high-quality metal detector? I lost my wedding ring digging in the garden yesterday (should have removed it, I know…) I already rented a cheapo one and tried it out but it wasn’t much help (too many false readings). I’m looking for somebody with a high-end detector and the know-how to discern all the crazy noises it makes. I’d pay you for your time.

Try contacting some metal detector clubs online, that’s how I recovered a wedding ring on a Cape Cod beach. Good luck!
As a bachelor, I’ve often considered a rental wedding ring, they are supposed to attract women I guess. Hadn’t heard about the false readings issue, thanks for the info…
We have a metal detector…and my hubby hasn’t been able to justify the expense yet. Are you in Duluth?
I am – any help would be wonderful. I’ll send you an email.
We will call you this evening to set up a time to find it.
Found it! Thanks again to you and your husband!
You’re very welcome. I have a good friend who teased me that if Mike found a ring it would probably still have a decomposed finger attached to it. We can say he found a ring..no finger! Glad to help.
