How in the world did we make a “top of” list, considering that some locals have an almost aggressively antagonistic approach to UMD students, and the complete lack of student infrastructure (close housing, shopping, food, etc.)???
It would have to be the “perfect balance” between city and outdoors that gave Duluth the nod, along with the fact that our colleges are pretty darn good schools.
