Entries into the guest books at lodges tend to be kind of boring, but I like how this group made a comic out of their stay at Heston’s Lodge on Gunflint Lake a month ago. Flipping through the stack of archives reveals this group has been making the trip for at least a dozen years, and they always leave a comic behind.

My wife and I love visiting Barb & Greg at Heston’s. I admit we’re not as creative as the family whose entry you’ve posted.
What cabin were you staying in?
White Pine.
Looks like a Monroe ripoff.
That’s their nicest cabin.
I have fond memories of canoeing over to Canada, tasking a cigar and a beer and consuming both — to claim we had illegally imported something to Canada. Hmmm, perhaps I should not have admitted that one.
I also have fond memories (believe it or not) of sauna’ing in their sauna and then taking the icy trip to the hole in the ice for a cooling dip. When my wife was in better health we would ski up there a lot.
Obviously those trips were at different times of the year.
