  1. I’ve always liked these two houses. They remind me of the little brick houses all over the West End in Saint Paul.

  2. Well, yeah, they make me happy, too. But rather than offer anything else, I thought it would be nice to see what others had to say … About where they are, about who lives there, why they were built in this way, who decided to paint them as such, and why. As nice as true anecdotes would certainly be, exaggerations or straight fiction are just fine, too. Maybe even better.

Another fun exercise I have tried is to list the differences. Kind of like those drawings they have in highlights for kids.

  3. I call those the baby boy and baby girl houses whenever I go by. I’ve always wondered why they were painted like that so close together and who owned them both.

  4. The blue house is a rental. It was known as the Animal House a few years ago, due to its residents’ excessive partying. Nowadays it’s quiet.

Thats funny Beverly!!! Dusty painted his house with free paint and it is just up the street.

His house has just about the same effect on the neighbor hood.

    Peace

  7. Ugh. I used to live in the pink one. The landlord is a serious douche…or the landlord at that time. Slumlord.

  8. I had always thought of them as his & hers houses. I figured that there was a married couple who loved each other but just couldn’t live together so they lived side by side so that they could be close. It’s all very romantic.

  9. These days it’s 2 group homes owned by the same company. A girls house and a guys house. Notice the ramps?

(Ps. I may have made that up…)
