Celebrating the ethnic heritage of customs, crafts, music, sports, marketplace, foods and of course sliding! Free and super family-friendly. Featuring the infamous vipukelkka or whipsled! An excellent opportunity to generate your own exclamation points!

We’ve been trying to get up to Palo for this for the past four years. Hopefully, we’ll hit #76.
Laskiainen did not start off as a sliding holiday but the decent into fasting 40 days before Easter. A Christian church holiday for the beginning of Jesus’ travel to Jerusalem and as a topic in the church is God’s sacrificial love.
February 14 is Laskiais Sunday and 16th is the actual church day.
