Whew, they really had me goin’ there until I got to “…contact Mario Apuzzo, Esq.”

Silly birthers.
edgeways
You know I think I’ll go one further and just flat out say, fuck them. And, seriously fuck the WaPo as well for accepting this blatantly false piece of shit. Freedom of speech does not apply whole-cloth to advertising. Media outlet have chosen not to air all manner of political advertising so why did they accept this?
Christ I’m tired of this shit.

Agreed. Doesn’t matter who Obama’s parents were or what planet they were from. Hawaii has verified that he was born in their state. According to Article I section 8 Congress has the right to establish uniform rules of Naturalization and long ago they decided that anyone born inside our borders is a citizen. Case closed. If you are going to whine, whine to Congress from a couple hundred years ago.

I think there’s a better argument the John McCain is not a natural born citizen. He was born in the Panama Canal zone.

Also, there was was a lot of shadiness regarding Cheney’s state residency. The constitution prohibits the president and vice president from being from the same state. But never mind that.

I like the Queen Elizabeth picture in the background. Really lends it some credibility.
Snicker.

Washington Times is bankrolled by Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church. With newspapers on the ropes, look out for more switching to the agenda-driven, sugar daddy model.
Frankly I applaud the Washington Times for taking their money. I’d rather have these people out in the open on their soapbox than hidden festering on their militia compounds.
Their argument is absurd. Hopefully the more money they burn on this means the less they’ll have to lobby toward an objective that might be politically feasible. Bring on the next ad. This one was certainly good for a laugh.
They have been begging for credibility from the start. Money begets this.
Sam
I can’t wait for the Washington Times to print a full page ad in which the KKK explains how it is a “scientific fact” that “their kind” is racially superior. It wouldn’t be much different than this factually-challenged racist ad that they did print.

well, they got schooled on their Kenya B.S. from the get (Kenya was under British rule in 1961, and not its own country), so they had to do SOMEthing…changing their tack to state that Obama’s a British citizen seems to be a likely step.
predictable.
Still, they’re having a lot of difficulty accepting the fact that a black man is sitting at the big desk and not merely serving coffee.
Calk
Jesus H Christ! But then who besides morons reads the Washington TIMES anyways? Zra’s right: the birthers are freaking b/c the black man is sitting behind the big desk, giving orders instead of serving coffee and bowing and scraping, and the black woman is our First Lady, instead of making beds and cleaning toilets.
Burly Burlesque
I’m hella intrigued by the reflective energy here. Good stuff all. Your anxious understudies will again sleep lightly.
Not you. You’ll be good.
But more directly, um, where is the racial content? Many of you have stooped to amplify this, above all, in your readings of the ad; some with great vigor. (This is more of rhetorical question, to those, you know, would-be dialogue starters. (Yuh-k!))
Oh, oh right. The racial content comes from your knowledge of the movement, and other junk it hangs together with. Cooh. Right, right: that WaPo, teachin’ you good. Ooohh good. So good. Good.
I’m almost utterly filled-up, but…oh not to be too inauthentic, or something, or presumptuous…but, could someone excavate a plausible, self-affirming route to Afghan corruption and maybe how I really shouldn’t get a PSA test or whatever? Or just. Or just, just… Please?
Burly’s back! And as incoherent and full of himself as ever!
Girly
Whoa.. there…sychophantic numbskullers! Allow me a mindless thingamajig to wax non-phonetically, as if poetic stupid stupid stupid makes me sound stupid.
Is it not clear to you inferior ants that my way without words makes me brilliant-esque? Look! Look! Look! Look! Look at me! Look!
Burly Burlesque
Actually, I think my reading of yall’s terribly interesting and revealing readings is quite straight-forward. And I would refer you to Evil Jeffy’s comment in the Frank’s Fascist History Thread. And to the work of Hannah Arendt.
Thanks for the props though. Glad to know you still ride my jock like a bicycle.
Now YOU’RE seeing seeing. Just without a spine. But you’re used to that.
