The Tower Avenue bar known for karaoke and bloody Mary’s is winding down operations. Owner Frank Rozowski Jr. is retiring and selling the building.

Frankie's Booze

An auction was held this afternoon, and boxes and boxes of booze were on the block.

Frankie's Junk

Old bar signs and other junk was also up for grabs.

All you can drink wop

At the bar, mixed drinks were priced at $2 and the “all you can drink” wapatui special was $10.

  1. I know last summer Frankie’s owners were trying to get Bev Robinson (of Bev’s Juke Joint fame) to buy the place. She was kind of “managing” it during Blues Fest last year.

  2. According to the Superior Telegram:

    Rozowski’s father opened Frankie’s Tavern about 60 years ago. Originally located at 1710 N. 12th St., current home of the Eagle’s Club, Frankie’s moved to Tower Avenue a few decades ago.
